Hardware and Software Requirements

If you are technically inclined and understand computer hardware, the information below will be beneficial, if like many you have other interests, leave the design and technology to us, it’s part of our service. That’s what we do, allowing you to do what you do best.

Single User Hardware

Pentium II or above processor, min. 400 MHz
Hard Disk (available space required 500 MB)
Memory 128K of RAM (OS dependent)
Color display monitor -15” or larger
CD-ROM, 32X or faster
Windows 95/98/NT4, 2000 or XP compatible printer
High Speed Internet Connection-Broadband or DSL or
Hayes Compatible Modem, 56K
AT 101 Enhanced Keyboard
Standard serial or PS/2 Mouse
Tape, CD ROM Burner or Zip Disk*
Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)

Network hardware Requirements

The VTS Classic will operate in either a “Single User” or “Multi-user” environment. In order to operate VTS Classic in a “Multi-user” environment, the following components are required.

Network Hub/Switch 10/100 MB (1 wired or wireless router)
Windows NT/2000 Network Server (1 server unit)
Network Interface Card 10/100 MB (1 wired or wireless card in each PC work station)
Category 5 enhanced (Cat 5 or higher) cable network for wired connections (Not required for PC’s with a wireless router interface)

Software Requirements

The VTS Classic system is a full 32-bit application designed for the Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000 and XP operating system environment. The following components are the minimum operating system requirements:

Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000 and XP Operating Systems (including latest service pack)

Microsoft Office, including MS Word and Excel (Office 97 or later)

* Optional on site back-up hardware
